Are you looking for something? If so, maybe you have finally found it. Do some of the following questions touch you to the depths of your being?
God has created humankind with the ability to understand that God exists. We are created to sense that, although there may be physiological similarities among the created things, we are not just another animal.
We are born into a world of futility and confusion. We see this, but we seem driven to conform. We continually seek understanding and purpose, and our thoughts are deep and many. We are created with a deep emptiness, yet we sense that somewhere, if only we can find it, there must be a source of fulfillment, an answer.
If this is speaking to your heart, you are not the first to reach this crossroad.
Here are a few verses from the Bible, that may be relevent to your needs at this time:
Psalm 27:9
Hide not thy face far from me; put not thy servant away in anger: thou hast been my help; leave me not, neither forsake me, O God of my salvation.
Psalm 40:17
But I am poor and needy; yet the Lord thinketh upon me: thou art my help and my deliverer; make no tarrying, O my God.
Psalm 42:5
Why art thou cast down, O my soul? and why art thou disquieted in me? hope thou in God: for I shall yet praise him for the help of his countenance.
Psalm 70:1
Make haste, O God, to deliver me; make haste to help me, O Lord.
Psalm 70:5
But I am poor and needy: make haste unto me, O God: thou art my help and my deliverer; O Lord, make no tarrying.
Psalm 71:12
O God, be not far from me: O my God, make haste for my help.
Psalm 109:26
Help me, O Lord my God: O save me according to thy mercy:
Psalm 79:9
Help us, O God of our salvation, for the glory of thy name: and deliver us, and purge away our sins, for thy name's sake.
Hebrews 4:16
Let us therefore come boldly unto the throne of grace, that we may obtain mercy, and find grace to help in time of need.
Luke 19:10
For the Son of man is come to seek and to save that which was lost.
1 Tim. 1:15
This is a faithful saying, and worthy of all acceptation, that Christ Jesus came into the world to save sinners; of whom I am chief.
Hebrews 7:25
Wherefore he is able also to save them to the uttermost that come unto God by him, seeing he ever liveth to make intercession for them.
James 1:21
Wherefore lay apart all filthiness and superfluity of naughtiness, and receive with meekness the engrafted word, which is able to save your souls.
John 3:16
For God so loved the world that he gave his only begotten Son, that whoever believes in him should not perish, but have everlasting life.
God loves you, even now, while you are still in sin. Jesus voluntarily took the death penalty for our sinful nature on himself, and paid the price forever. The penalty is paid, and eternal life with meaning and fulfillment is now yours for the asking. Ask God to accept you as you are, simply because he loves you. God will enter your life, and once there he will never leave you nor forsake you. That is a promise that cannot and will not be broken.
What now? You can write to me if you would like. Or, if you know someone else that you feel you can talk to about this, then that is the thing to do now.
God is calling you to be a part of the "Body of Christ." It is his physical presence on the earth. He comes to you, and will live in and through you by the Holy Spirit. All those God calls to him are his, and they are then part of his "called out ones", his church.
Once God has placed you in his church, no one can place any further requirements for denominational membership on you. If you have never been baptized, you should become baptized. If you can not find someone to baptize you without requiring denominational membership, then please write to me.

Please feel free to visit the rest of the site. If all the denominations and divisions in the church are a problem to you, then perhaps you've come here for a reason. I hope that what you find here will be a comfort and a help to you. The visible fragmentation of the church is not a permanent situation. Maybe you'll find something here to assist you in being a part of the solution, while, at the same time, avoiding inadvertently becoming part of the problem.
