According to Hodges Family History: Aileen Baird, they lived for a time on one of Olive's brother James Hodges' farms at Montana.3,2 He was born on 14 May 1847 at Pittsburgh, Allegheny County, Pennsylvania.2,4 He was the son of John Davis Foster and Elizabeth (?).1 Samuel Scott Foster married Olive Frances Hodges, daughter of Leonidas John Hodges and Nancy Caroline Reed, on 22 January 1873.2,5 Samuel Scott Foster died on 23 April 1931 at Kansas City, Jackson County, Missouri, at age 83.2 He was buried at Mount Moriah Cemetery, Kansas City, Jackson County, Missouri.2
